The PyData ecosystem is leading the open source data science movement. However, many find it daunting to jump into, due to its wide array of features and capabilities. In this webinar, thought leader Andy Terrel will show you how to get started. We will look at the major data structures for data handling in Python, data ingest and transform, and finally some modeling and advanced libraries.
Following Andy’s presentation, Tim Babych (Sphere Software Engineer) will provide an example of SciPy data analysis in action. He will create a model that can predict the survival rate on the Titanic, using data such as age, ticket class, gender, and other details. He will guide the audience through the process, using SciPy, Pandas, IPython, and Scikit-learn to visualize the data and ultimately build a working model.
At the end of the webinar, you will have a foundation to further explore the PyData ecosystem.
You’ll learn how to:
-Ingest and transform data with SciPy and Pandas.
-Interact with data in Jupyter.
-Visualize data with MatPlotLib, Seaborn, and Bokeh.
-Model data with Scikit-learn.
-Choose the right tools for any job.
-Utilize the PyData ecosystem to solve business challenges.
